Sorry for the lack of blog entries. I’ve simply lacked the motivation to write about anything.
So this past winter, I tried the Minecraft Tropicraft mod andI did get it to work after a lot of tinkering. However there was something that I noticed that was missing from the mod.
Okay, so from the banner on the main website, you see a beautiful, aqua river with silky smooth terrain. The floor of the river is entirely sand (no ugly clay or dirt splotches) and framing the picture are two tropical forests complete with enormous trees. Not shown in the banner is a land formation where there is an enormous overhanging cliff (where mobs hang out during daytime, watch out!
However, there is no big beach with an open ocean. There are no large islands that are surrounded by larger bodies of water. The entire tropical dimension is just rivers, endless rivers, at least in my experience. This disappointed me.
If there is actually a beach and an ocean and I didn’t explore enough, feel free to inform and correct me because I’d like to play that game and find that beach and build a new house there.
I have some new ideas for blog posts so this won’t be the last ever post XD.
